I am currently a student at Colorado State University studying to be an art teacher. My passion for art goes as far back as I can remember and recently I have decided to direct my focus on sharing that passion with others. My favorite forms of artistic expression are painting and more recently I have been gaining interest in environmental art, that is, using the environment as the subject of my art as well the medium. In general, I am very open to exploring many different media as I hope to be able to facilitate the learning of my future students in many different art forms. As I go further in the art world, my hope is that rather than art being just something I do, it becomes the lens through which I view the world and I hope to be able to share that view with others. Other activities I enjoy are hiking and running with my dog, camping and swimming, and spending time with my sister Lindsay.

I have loved art my entire life and abstract paintings are my favorite. I rode horses for eight years and would love to own one someday. I recently developed a passion for plants. I currently have seven and can't wait to get more.

I love nature and painting! I also have two cats an orange one and black one, their names are Minnie and Mickey. I'm excited to make art with you!

Every painting I create provides me with the opportunity to create a work of art that exhibits beauty through my interpretation. It excites me to reflect on my work and to question my future works. I grew up practicing art at a young age. I decided to pursue painting in my late high school years. I grew up in Milwaukee Wisconsin, which was a great resource for my artwork. I was inspired by the beauties of the urban world and the wonders of Lake Michigan. The grey winters of Wisconsin became dreary so I began a different approach. I started to paint from my memory with an impressionistic style, as opposed to a realistic style. The process of painting, creates a unique energy that is impossible to replicate through any other process.
